2017 was a special year for the Oeko-Institut: we celebrated our 40th anniversary! We reviewed four decades of scientific work and outlined the challenges that lie ahead. In our latest annual report we look back at a successful year for the institute and as usual profile the highlights of our “normal” scientific work.
Complex analysis, wide-ranging research, professional consultancy and expert reporting were once again the hallmarks of the Oeko-Institut’s work in 2017 – on issues as diverse as phasing out coal, electric transport, nuclear facilities in crisis areas, sustainable chemicals and transformative environmental policy. The present report provides information on all of these issues as well as describing the institute’s structures and presenting some key facts.
