Sustainability – An Export Success?
Whether it’s managing waste, labelling the most energy-efficient appliances or promoting renewables – over the years, Germany has amassed a wealth of experience that shows how the transition to sustainability can work and which opportunities and challenges it creates.
In this issue of eco@work, we look at how our sustainability knowledge and skills can be shared with other countries, particularly in the Global South. For example, we focus on what government and civil society in these countries need for cooperation to be a success. We discuss this question with Desmond Appiah, tasked by the Mayor of Accra, Ghana, with restructuring the city’s waste management system.
