Accelerated global climate protection by 2030

The project analyses existing measures and instruments of international climate policy and derives possible options for action that could lead to accelerated global climate protection by 2030. The results are processed in such a way that they can be usefully applied in exchange with other states and make a corresponding contribution within policy advice and diplomacy, for example with regard to cooperation with G20 presidencies such as India for 2022.

A particular focus is on the G20 group of states from the perspective of selected policy areas: (1) coal phaseout/transformation of the energy industry, in particular increased use of renewable energies and energy efficiency, (2) production, trade, use of synthetic fuels (from renewable energies), (3) reduction of post-harvest losses, food waste, animal products, and (4) forest protection & reforestation.
