Activities related to the release of waste for disposal at landfills from the dismantling of KWO nuclear power plant

The Öko-Institut was commissioned by the operator of the landfill Buchen-Sansenhecken with work related to the clearance of waste from the Obrigheim nuclear power plant for landfill on that site. The underlying concept, the specific licenses, additional instructions, the recycling concept of the nuclear power plant as well as the procedure for the clearance measurements had to be evaluated. Moreover checks at waste to be carried to the landfill prior to their delivery have to be done.
