Adaptation of the SRI system for an introduction in Germany

The potential of building automation for efficiency improvements in the building sector is currently only being addressed to a limited extent. Particularly affected is the efficient, but also the grid-supportive and user-serving operation of buildings, which would enable the control of buildings like power plants (from consumer to prosumer).

The EU Commission has announced the introduction of the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) as part of the Green Deal. The SRI is intended to show the intelligent/ smart capabilities of a building in terms of energy efficiency, grid serviceability and user serviceability. At the same time, it aims to provide transparency on relevant measures to improve the above-mentioned capabilities of the building. The project will analyse and develop the application in Germany and any necessary adjustments to the system.
