Advising activities related to the disposal of clearance waste by the district of Karlsruhe

The waste management company of the district of Karlsruhe is responsible for the disposal of non-radioactive waste arising from the dismantling of facilities of the former Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe and the Philippsburg nuclear power plant. The district has no own landfill for the disposal of this waste. The Öko-Institut advises the district on radiological conditions of possible disposal options.
