Amendment of the EMAS III Regulation – Development of German Positions

With the public procurement law reform of 2016 and 2017, the framework conditions for the consideration of ecological and social aspects in public procurement have been further improved. In this context, environmental management systems such as EMAS can also be integrated more strongly into tendering procedures. The project compiles good reasons and opportunities for using EMAS in public tenders. A brochure prepared by the project team provides procurers with practical recommendations, contains concrete practical examples and refers to further assistance and consulting services.
