Analysis, aggregation and assessment of Member States' information on climate finance received under the Monitoring Mechanism Regulation (MMR)

In this project, the information and data provided by EU Member States on climate finance provided to developing countries was aggregated, in order to provide the European Commission with accurate information on climate finance ahead of the UNFCCC climate change conferences.

In addition, the developments in climate negotiations with regard to transparency of climate finance were analysed, as well as the sections on climate finance accounting and reporting in the EU Member States' biennial reports under the UNFCCC.

Based on these findings, recommendations were made for further improvement of the EU's and Member States‘ reporting on climate finance.
