Analysis of a sectoral crediting mechanism for developing countries in a post-2012 climate regime

This report explored a sectoral crediting mechanism (SCM) for developing countries in a post-2012 UNFCCC climate regime. It analysed how a SCM could be implemented in practice and identified different options for designing a SCM. The advantages and disadvantages of these design options were discussed. Based on this analysis, a consistent policy framework for the introduction of a SCM under the UNFCCC was proposed.
