Analysis of draft 2023 NECPs with focus on methane emissions vs biogas/hydrogen ambitions and proposal for better integration of methane into the revision of the Governance Regulation

Aim of the project is to assess the plans for the production and use of biomethane in the draft NECPs. Based on the findings, recommendations for developing and reporting policies and measrues with regards to sustainability of feedstock, leakage prevention and biogas upgrading are developed. In addition, input is prepared for the revision of the reporting requirements under the Governance Regulation.
