Assessment of draft methodologies under the EU Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF)

Oeko-Institut assessed and provided detailed comments on six draft methodologies proposed by the European Commission under the EU Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF). This includes methodologies for Direct Air Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and biomass use with carbon capture and storage (BioCCS), carbon storage in buildings, biochar, planting trees, and agriculture. Oeko-Institut also summarised cross-cutting findings from these analyses and published a blog post on the key findings.
