Brief expert report on gender-equitable design of the energy transition and climate action with a view to housing and mobility

Energy and climate policy instruments in Germany can lead to higher costs and an increased financial burden for housing, heating and mobility. Analyses of the financial burden of rising energy costs by gender have not yet been carried out, nor have analyses that show whether and how men and women are affected differently by policy instruments.

The brief expert report creates a data basis for evaluating the gender-specific effects of energy and climate policy instruments and contributes to the discussion on a socially just and gender-responsive heating and mobility transition.
