Climate Protection Scenario 2050

In this study, scenarios for up to 2050 with different levels of climate policy ambition were developed and analysed. Key questions included what target could be reached if current energy and climate policy was continued, what measures and strategies are necessary to achieve the climate targets, what cost benefit ratios arise for consumers and the economy and what distribution effects may occur. In view of the very dynamic energy economy and policy environment , the scenarios were updated three times.
