Collection and analysis of exposure and usage data to determine the relevance of potentially endocrine disrupting chemicals - preparation for nomination as Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) under REACH

The aim of the project was to investigate the data on uses and exposure relating to a selection of substances having endocrine disrupting properties. A concept for an effective procurement of this information was developed by the UBA, providing the basis for the work to be undertaken. In the framework of this project, data on relevance needed to be collected for a wider range of substances having endocrine disrupting properties. In addition to this collection of screening data, detailed data on use and exposure in the environment were to be investigated for a limited number of substances to enable a decision on the appropriate risk management measures to be taken.
