CollERS II: International research collaboration on Electric Road Systems

The overall goal of the project is to continue the collaboration that has developed within the predecessor project CollERS I (2018 - 2019) and to involve further international partners from politics, administration and science beyond Germany and Sweden and to intensify the European dialogue on Electric Road Systems (ERS). The aim of the project is to:

  • to evaluate the different ERS concepts on the basis of a catalog of criteria,
  • to discuss the need for regulatory action for the implementation of international ERS corridors,
  • to investigate the economic feasibility comparatively for ERS to other technology options,
  • to analyze non-technical/social aspects from technology testing in field trials,
  • to identify a European expansion strategy for ERS.
