Common appliance policy - all for one, one for all - energy labels (ComeOn Labels)

The ComeOn Labels project aimed at summarising the best European experience related to the energy labelling of household appliances and supporting the proper implementation of the new labelling scheme after its enforcement. Goal was to enhance the visibility and credibility given to the EU energy label and to improve the market for labelled products. There are three main areas related to the proper functioning of the Energy Label: 1) proper information on labels (e.g. correct information included in the labels for the different products, verification of the compliance through appliance testing), 2) proper display of the energy labels on appliances in shops (including the retailer compliance verification), catalogues and electronic means (e-commerce, internet advertising, mail orders, etc), and 3) the organisation of promotion activities towards the final customers (information and education materials and awareness campaigns).
