Concept, coordination and implementation of additional participation measures for the approval procedure of the pump-storage power plant Atdorf

In the course of the planning of the Atdorf pumped storage power plant by Schluchseewerk AG, the Öko-Institut was commissioned to organise the information event for local citizens. The towns of Bad Säckingen and Wehr and the municipalities of Herrischried and Rickenbach, which are affected by the possible construction of the Atdorf pumped storage power plant, have agreed together with the project developer to conduct an open dialogue about the project and its impacts. The Öko-Institut was brought in as a neutral knowledge broker and consultant to support the organisation of such information events and to make the Institute's technical expertise available, as the issues involved are sometimes very complex.
