Connecting reality with climate goals: case studies of gas distribution system planning and regulation (Phase II)

This project includes the following aspects related to the future of gas distribution grids in Europe:

· Summaries of targeted countries to highlight information gaps both for continued work in that country and for use as examples;

· Identification of issues or trends that we have observed in order to inform policy-making in this area and/or current policy debates on the EU and/or national level; and

· Complilation of country examples and recommendations for national governments and national regulatory authorities to begin incorporating the realities of a transition away from gaseous fuels in their planning and decision-making processes.
