Consultancy study for the Natural Climate Protection Action Programme Forestry - Lot 2 Forest restoration

The project develops a subsidy regulation for reforestation in Germany. To this end, a list of funding criteria is developed. In order to calculate funding amounts and derive the financial incentive to be set, the foregone benefits or additional costs are determined for individual criteria. In addition, the framework with a view to state aid and subsidy law is examined and finally the impact of the criteria on forest GHG emissions and removals is assessed. This creates a basis for developing a subsidy regulation.
