Contribution to the Green Economy by sustainability of companies in the chemical industry: Selection of substances or processes on the basis of the criteria for a sustainable chemistry developed by the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA)

In the framework of this project, the guide for the selection of sustainable chemicals was being further developed, also being implemented in an internet-based information exchange. Each subject was to be conceived as a module. As regards the selection of chemicals, new issues were addressed including the release of greenhouse gases and the social responsibility of the manufacturer, for example.
