Contribution to the OECD Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials (WPMN)

In the context of this project, the cooperation of Öko-Institut in the Steering Groups 5 and 9 of the OECD WPMN on regulatory issues and sustainability aspects in the handling of nanotechnologies should be encouraged. This includes the participation in as well as the preparation for and follow-up to the working group sessions, the active development of its own opinion and of position papers that can be introduced into the working groups. Above, the findings from the WPMN working group meetings and the current status of discussion will be integrated into the nano dialogue and then be exchanged with the BMU / UBA. After all, the aim of the project is, to discuss the work of the OECD WPMN with the national environmental and consumer protection groups and to encourage the formation of joint positions by means of workshops.
