Contributions to the sustainability strategy: reducing the use of resources in the chemicals industry by applying instruments of sustainable chemistry

It was the task of this research project to analyze the contribution to the reduction of the consumption of natural resources for various instruments of sustainable chemistry. With a view to the objective, the project focussed on the use of natural resources, however, social and economic instruments should also be principally subject of investigation in order to discuss an inclusive approach of social management in a Green Economy. In this context, the project also examined which quantifiable sustainability criteria were already available at the level of enterprises, locations, chemicals, processes and products.
