Counseling of the administrative district of Emsland regarding the results of the Sub-Areas Interim Report of the German Repository Search

Within the course of the German Repository Search sub-areas have been identified in which favourable geological conditions for the safe final disposal of high-level radioactive waste can be expected. Three salt domes have been named within the administrative district of Emsland. The Öko-Institut is counseling the administrative district of Emsland regarding the use of criteria leading to the selection of the salt domes and implications for the ongoing site selection process.
