Decentralised energy transisition in between social justice, system costs and

The aim of the project DEZ-ZIELKONFLIKTE was to examine the positive effects of a decentralized energy transition mentioned by actors in the discourse. This was done on the basis of argumentation theory and evidence. For this purpose, possible forms and characteristics of a decentralized energy system were first discussed with stakeholders. Repeatedly mentioned positive effects were, for example, the increase of regional value creation, an increased acceptability or the reduction of the necessary transmission grid expansion. Subsequently, unintended negative side effects were analyzed. The side effects found were then evaluated. Finally, possible solution strategies for the conflicting goals were named.
