Development accompanying sustainability analyses in the cross-sectional project for the 'Digital GreenTech' funding measure

The aim of the project is to analyse the sustainability potential of new applications of digital technologies as part of the cross-sectional project 'Network Digital GreenTech'. At the centre of the analyses is a comparison that relates the expenditure for the digitisation infrastructure (e.g. use of critical metals and energy requirements for their use) to the positive sustainability effects through the use of digital technologies, such as in the area of climate protection. A tiered approach is applied for the sustainability analyses, comprising orienting qualitative analyses, self-evaluations and comprehensive quantitative analyses.
