Development and support for the implementation of an environmental and sustainability concept for the 23rd UN Climate Conference in Bonn, 2017

At COP23, the world's number one environmental issue, climate protection, will be discussed. This makes the UN Climate Change Conference the most important international conference for a globally sustainable climate protection. Development. This presents the event itself with the challenge of setting an example in terms of environmental protection and nature conservation. Therefore, the goal must be to achieve the goals set with the implementation of COP23 and to compensate for unavoidable environmental impacts (in particular greenhouse gas emissions caused by the arrival and departure of participants). This is all the more important because the extensive media coverage to be expected means that the topic of climate protection can be communicated to the public in a practical manner. Against this background, the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Construction and Nuclear Safety commissioned the development and implementation of an ambitious environmental and sustainability concept for the 23rd UN Climate Change Conference.
