EU instruments for sustainable transport and additional national regulatory requirements focusing on fuels

The objective of the project is to support the UBA and the BMUV with technical and scientific analyses in the decision-making process for the further development of the German GHG quota on the basis of the amended RED. One focus is the potential for reducing GHG emissions through the use of electricity in road transport and the availability of RFNBO. In addition, the current design of the GHG quota and the amended RED will be examined for possible further developments and potential disincentives. The technical, scientific questions will be dealt with in as implementation-oriented a manner as possible. Questions can also be answered on an ad-hoc basis within short periods of time.
