European Topic Centre on Climate Change Mitigation 2022-2026

Oeko-Institut is an important partner in the European Environment Agency's (EEA) European Topic Centre on Climate Change Mitigation (ETC/CM). As task managers Oeko-Institut’s experts • Support to WG 1 (inventories) under the Climate Change Committee • Compile the EEA report on "Trends and Projections in Europe. Tracking Progress towards Europe's Climate and Energy targets" and "Trends and Projections in the EU ETS" • Compile annual briefings on ETS and Effort Sharing • Compile data for the EU ETS data viewer • Participate as EU experts in UNFCCC GHG inventory reviews • Provide support to the reporting under the F-gas regulation, including the management of the database of company data, QA/QC and the compilation of related reports

As team members Oeko-Institut's experts are • compiling the EU GHG inventory report • supporting the implementation of the EU Effort Sharing Decision • supporting the EEA in the compilation and QA/QC of MS reporting of greenhouse gas emission projections and climate finance
