European Topic Centre on climate change mitigation and energy (2019 – 2021)

Oeko-Institut is an important partner in the European Environment Agency's (EEA) European Topic Centre on Climate Change Mitigation and Energy (ETC/CME). As task managers Oeko-Institut’s experts are • supporting WG 1 (inventories) under the Climate Change Committee • compiling the EEA report on "Trends and Projections in Europe. Tracking Progress towards Europe's Climate and Energy targets" and "Trends and Projections in the EU ETS" • compiling annual briefings on ETS and Effort Sharing • compiling data for the EU ETS data viewer • participating as EU experts in UNFCCC GHG inventory reviews • providing support to the reporting under the F-gas regulation, including the management of the database of company data, QA/QC and the compilation of related reports

As team members Oeko-Institut's experts are • compiling the EU GHG inventory report • supporting the implementation of the EU Effort Sharing Decision • supporting the EEA in the compilation and QA/QC of MS reporting of greenhouse gas emission projections.
