Evaluation and submission of proposals for the further development of the 3rd FlugLSV

Residents in the vicinity of airports are entitled to compensation for the losses they suffer as a result of high aircraft noise. This affects the limited usability of the so-called outdoor living area, i.e. the terrace, garden and balcony. The conditions for the compensation claim are regulated in the Third Decree on the Implementation of the Act on Protection against Air-craft Noise (3rd FlugLSV). The regulation was adopted in 2013 and applies exclusively to new or expanded airports. The 3rd FlugLSV is now being examined for the first time in terms of its practical relevance. The analysis will also determine whether and how user-friendly the regulation's provisions are and what suggestions for improvement can be made.
