Evaluation of the limits for metals in waste which in the event of being exceeded recovery including metal recovery in backfills or landfills must take place

The project aims to clarify for the first time a potential part of the hazardous waste generated in the Federal Republic of Germany and determine whether there is potential for avoidance or substitution. If concepts for avoiding and substituting the selected wastes are not employed, it is necessary to clarify a disposal method, which takes into account the requirements of the Closed Substance Cycle Management Act and is also ecologically most suitable. Approaches must then be determined to exploit the potential.
