Expert Report Climate Neutrality Munich 2035

The expert report supports the City of Munich in pursuing an ambitious path towards climate neutrality through scientific analyses and expert recommendations. It is based on a decision by the Munich City Council in 2019 in accordance with which the cityis to become climate neutral by 2035. The city administration is to achieve this goal by 2030. The expert report comprises ambitious climate action scenarios for Munich, a comprehensive catalogue of climate action measures, and expert recommendations on selected key issues relevant for the City’s current climate action strategy. This includes, among others, promising approaches to implementing climate action in districts, decarbonising commercial transport and a cooperative approach towards mobilising medium and large enterprises in Munich for climate action.
