Exploratory Analysis of an EU Land Sink Target

A short scientific analysis that a) outlines the current discussion around the land sink potential around the comparison of up-to-date data analysis and relevant emission and removal scenarios, b) proposes the most ambitious land sink target that can be feasibly achieved under radical reforms of land use practice and use of land-based resources and c) outlines how this goalset would align and complement existing and proposed biodiversity protection efforts and ecosystem restoration aims to build landscape resilience and food security in the EU.
