Future Fleet – Integration of electric vehicles in commercial vehicle fleets

The transition to a sustainable and eco-friendly form of mobility is one of the great challenges of our time. The Future Fleet project examines the use of electric vehicles as company cars. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. The Future Fleet project aims to gather new findings on key issues such as user acceptance and changes in transport habits, as well as barriers to and opportunities for the use of electric vehicles by companies. A comprehensive field test including a user survey yields data on electric vehicle user acceptance, real electric consumption and electric vehicle usage. Scenario development for company vehicle usage and emission modelling allows environmental effects of the integration of electric vehicles in company vehicle fleets to be derived.
