Green IT savings potentials - Evaluation of green IT measures in terms of their specific energy and resource efficiency potentials

The goal of this research project was to evaluate the measures set out in Baden-Württemberg's Green IT 2020 strategy with regard to their potential for economization of energy and resources, as well as the costs and cost savings associated with those measures. The catalogue of measures drawn up in the scope of Baden-Württemberg's Green IT 2020 strategy was expected to be updated and expanded so as to keep up with technological progress. Based on further clarification of the measures and practical experience gained, measure-specific key indicators deemed eligible for an evaluation of the measures and for extrapolating the expected environmental effects were to be determined. The project furthermore saught to evaluate the results with regard to their robustness and to identify further research needs.
