H2-SO - Hydrogen technologies in Southern Upper Rhine region

The aim of the project is to link a large number of relevant players from all sectors - industry, heating, transport, power generation - in the Southern Upper Rhine region with regard to hydrogen and fuel cell technology. In an intensive discussion with the actors in a transdisciplinary real-world laboratory and using several case studies and technology demonstrations as examples, significant current obstacles to the implementation of hydrogen and fuel cell technology are identified. Proposed solutions for the activation of the large and diverse potential for the use and emission reduction of hydrogen in industry and mobility, in off-grid power supply, in the gas grid and in the municipal environment are jointly developed. Oeko-Institut is involved as an external expert on the issue of hydrogen production and usage.
