Law and its application as a driver or barrier to social and ecologically relevant innovation – examining the case of mobility law (RechtSInnMobil)

The aim of the research project is to investigate the effect of the right to realize social and ecological innovations in Germany - whether it promotes or inhibits their application and enforcement in practice. The study is based on three examples of social and environmental innovations in the area of mobility (car sharing, recovery of roads and flexible forms of operation in rural areas). It also examines which legal changes in German law are necessary and feasible in order to facilitate the practical implementation of these innovations. The result of the project are recommendations for appropriate legal norms or further - suitable new approaches to legislation.
