Liability framework for sustainable certification in textile supply chains

The report discusses the legal relevance of certifications for the enforcement of binding supply chain due diligence and transboundary corporate liability. Furthermore, the conditions for establishing liability of certifiers for violations of due diligence is described. Finally, recommendations for improvements of the trustworthiness of certifications are elaborated.
