Management of high level radioactive waste in Germany: Roads from storage towards disposal

WERA aims at roadmaps for the disposal of spent fuel and high level radioactive waste. The need for action along this road as well as options for action will be discussed. Thus a basis will be designed for active Integration of different steps of the disposal process (e. g. interim storage, conditioning, transport, final disposal). Further on, tasks and goals for future R & D activities will be visualized and basic concepts for economic analyses in the course of future detailed planning of disposal options shall be derived.
