Methods and tools of the eco design of plastics packagings

The objective of the study was to undertake a comprehensive inventory and summary appraisal of existing methods and tools for the development of packaging. The study focused on ecodesign, considering and assessing both the suitability of methods and tools to mainstream environmental aspects as well as the usefullness and practicability for users. The study results acted as basis to the stakeholders of the round table "Eco design of plastic packagings" to develop further activities in terms of promoting the ecodesign of plastic packaging.
