Model comparison of electricity grid models in the European context

The overall objective of the MODEX-NET research project is a comparison of existing transmission network models that map both the national and the European transmission network. By means of defined "case studies" (model experiments) the differences between the models are to be identified and analysed. This includes a comparison of the methodological principles, the model topologies applied and the data used in the transmission system models involved.
