Model Germany Circular Economy - Feasibility Study

In its coalition agreement, the German government has set itself the goal of developing a new, integrated circular economy strategy. The aim of this study is to examine the methodological and technical basis for the ecological and economic impact assessment of circular economy measures in relevant key sectors. Building on the results of this analysis, recommendations for the implementation of a circular economy assessment model for Germany will be derived. The cross-sectoral, hybrid assessment model for qualitative and quantitative impact assessment proposed here is intended to contribute to the development of a policy roadmap for a circular economy in Germany and thus influence the envisaged national circular economy strategy.
