New gas-fired power plants in Bavaria – Energy-economic significance and financing options

This short study examines the required capacity of fossil back-up power plants in Bavaria in the period up to the year 2035 and adequate operating modes of these plants. In addition, it discusses which mechanisms could be used to finance such power plants and to what extent gas-fired power plants in Bavaria could be operated based on hydrogen or other synthetic gases.
