'Plastics' workshop for Waschbär

In Waschbär mail order store, plastics of various types are used, while the variety of offered plastics is increasing markedly. Many plastics are considered as contaminated by pollutants (such as plasticizers) and/or as problematic in terms of possible recycling at end of life. A first workshop within a possible series of thematic workshops on the assortment management of Waschbär was intended to provide buyers with a fundamental understanding of harmful substances and the recycling/disposal of plastics, since sound individual case analyses are not always feasible and expedient. The objective of improving the competences of Waschbär buyers was to contribute towards: - taking well-founded decisions about assortments; - the development in the performance of suppliers; - an informed communication with customers; - a revision of the Waschbär purchasing criteria and product passes.
