PolRess – Development of a societal and political debate regarding resource efficiency

The goal of doubling raw material productivity requires considerable additional efforts. Since many potentials have not yet been exploited, policymakers can and must contribute to overcoming obstacles. What concrete goals and priorities should be set, what level of ambition and what instruments should be used - these are questions that are controversial in the social and political debate. The project took up the developing debate on resource policy in Germany and analysed various instruments from a political science, legal and economic perspective. In addition, it contributed to the networking of various actors in the field of resource efficiency.
