Recognition of imported guarantees of origin for electricity (GO) according to the Renewable Energy Directive II (RED II)

The aim of the project is to evaluate selected countries to determine whether justified doubts about the accuracy, reliability and veracity of their guarantees of origin (GO) can be ruled out and whether cancelled or expired GOs may no longer be exported, so that the GOs are therefore in principle eligible for recognition according to the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). For this purpose, a catalogue of meaningful and verifiable criteria is developed and applied to the countries concerned.
