Reform of VAT rates on animal and plant products in eight EU countries

In the context of a short analysis, a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the consequences of a VAT increase on animal products in selected EU countries is carried out. The following indicators are considered: Price changes, behavioural changes in food demand, GHG reduction potential and changes in tax revenues.
