Regulatory approaches to increase the resource efficiency in the IT sector

The aim of the project was to set up a paper depicting both proposed and existing regulatory approaches in Germany and the EU, concerning the use of raw materials, life-time extension, as well as the recycling of mobile phones, tablets and notebooks. This presentation should both contain a short description of the respective approaches as well as information about forthcoming time frames (e.g. for revisions). The paper should also prioritise regulatory requirements with regard to the protection of resources for selected ICT products, outlining policy-defining proposals.
