Resource-efficient infrastructures that are fit for the future: evironmentally-friendly, robust and demographically inclusive

The research project RELIS analyses options for a sustainable resource-saving design for land improvements of power supply, water industries and wastewater disposal, information and communication infrastructure as well as transport infrastructure. Next to resource efficiency analysis, the concept of sustainable resource-saving also subsumes approaches to sufficiency. SWOT-analysis, best practices and scenarios up to 2050 build the basis to develop recommended actions and strategies. These include the fulfilment of new requirements induced by changes like demographic change, climate change and climate protection.
