Scientific consultation on the implementation of Directive 2009/125/EC (Ecodesign) and Directive 2010/30/EU (Energy labelling)

The project aimed at supporting the work of the Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMU) and the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) on the implementation of the eco-design and the energy efficiency labelling directive in a scientifically sound manner. In concrete terms, this was achieved through: monitoring of the preliminary studies and the implementing measures for the eco-design directive and the energy efficiency labelling directive; from 2012 on, review of the work programme and elaboration of proposals for optimiza-tion; from 2012 on, technical support in revising the directive on and development of porposals for optimization regarding the methodology; initializing a platform for dialogue for relevant actors (expert talks).
